This Privacy Policy explains how LumaLyrics operates across our **Android Application** and our **Browser Extensions** (Chrome, Edge, Firefox). Our core philosophy is simple: your music is yours. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data.

2. Data Collection and Usage

LumaLyrics Android App

The Android app operates entirely on your device. To function correctly, it requires certain Android system permissions:

• Notification Access: Used strictly to detect which song is currently playing on your media apps (like Spotify, YouTube Music, etc.) to fetch the correct lyrics.
• Display Over Other Apps (Overlay): Used to draw the floating lyrics interface over your screen.

We do not transmit your listening history, song preferences, or notification data to our servers or any third parties. All lyrics matching happens in real-time, and no logs of your activity are stored.

LumaLyrics Browser Extensions

Our browser extensions (for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox) require permissions to interact with specific music web players (like music.youtube.com, open.spotify.com, etc.).

• Host Permissions / Tabs: Used to inject the visual lyrics interface directly into the music player tab and to detect the currently playing song title and artist.

The extension runs locally in your browser. It does not track your browsing history, and it only activates on supported music websites. No data is sent from your browser to us.

3. Third-Party Services

To provide synchronized lyrics, LumaLyrics connects to public third-party lyrics APIs (such as LRCLIB or similar services). The only data sent to these services is the Song Title, Artist, and Album Name in order to search for and retrieve the corresponding lyrics file. No identifying information about you or your device is sent.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time as we add new features or support for new platforms. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy on this page.
